Maryland Horse Industry Board

The Maryland Horse Industry Board (MIHB) is affiliated with the Maryland Department of Agriculture. You can find a directory of all Maryland's Licensed Stables here.

Maryland Horse Council

The Maryland Horse Council seeks to unify and represent the diverse Maryland horse community.

A Home for Every Horse

A Home for Every Horse is committed to helping 501(c)(3) rescue organizations find forever homes for Americas 170,000 to 200,000 horses in need of care and shelter. A Home for Every Horse is also dedicated to providing education to the equine industry regarding horses without forever homes.

Unwanted Horse Coalition

The mission of the Unwanted Horse Coalition is to reduce the number of unwanted horses and to improve their welfare through education and the efforts of organizations committed to the health, safety, and responsible care and disposition of these horses.

The EQUUS Foundation

Charities are born from the passions of people united by a common interest. The EQUUS Foundation is no exception. It was the belief that horses have a positive impact in our everyday lives that led to the establishment of The EQUUS Foundation in August 2002. The EQUUS Foundation also does business under the name, Horse Charities of America. The name, Horse Charities of America, was selected in 2009 to better convey the mission of The EQUUS Foundation.
We serve horse charities across the United States by:
- Providing financial support through the award of grants to charities that are improving the quality of life of horses, using horses to enrich the lives of those in need, and educating the public about the horse's unique ability to empower, teach and heal;
- Offering insight on management and financial practices of these charities through a thorough review of their operations;
- Providing a network of interested individuals for volunteer recruitment; Educating the public about horses.
