What is the Pasadena Horse and Pony Association (PHPA)?

The purpose of the PHPA is to create, stimulate, and promote interest in horses, horsemanship, and horseback riding as a recreational activity.

The PHPA was founded in 1995 to promote the preservation of open spaces and the creation of horse facilities in Pasadena.

Since the clubs inception, members have organized horse related activities such as clinics, trail rides, photo contests, fun horse shows, youth riding camps, fund raisers, and guest speakers at their monthly meetings.

The association publishes a monthly newsletter named "Pony Express" and also maintains this website to keep the membership informed of future events. It provides readers with tips for general horse care and horsemanship.
